Forward Tomas Marcinko signed one-year contract with the HC Ocelari Trinec. Slovakian player is one of the new Trinec players before 2017/2018 season. 29 year old gold medal holder from the season 2013/2014 in HC Kosice, spent last season in Kontinental Hockey League in the team Red Star Kunlun Beijing.
“I’am excited. Trinec has a good reputation not only in the Czech Republic but also in Slovakia. I felt lot of interest from the coach and sport director, so here I am.”
Tomas played for Slovakia national team at two World Championships (2014 and 2016) and also in Olympic games in Sochi (2014).
It’s clear, Tomas will have two teammates from Slovakia (V.Dravecký, P.Hamerlík).
“I haven’t spoken with them before I signed contract, but later they told me that Trinec has a very good background and stadium.”
He will be play in Extraliga Ledního Hokeje for the second time. First time, he was a player of HC Dynamo Pardubice.
“This is one of the most progressive leagues, teams has a very good marketing and stadiums. It’s one of the top 5 leagues in Europe,” said Tomas.
